5 & A Dime originally started off as a distribution company operated by our family at In4mation. The initial lineup consisted of Irons, Crooks & Castles and Know1edge to name a few. As time went by, the company successfully opened over 30 channels of distribution and made the decision to let the respective owners journey into their own ventures. Jason Huggins (formally known as "JayDread") & sister Darcie, came up with the idea of opening a shop in SD and felt that 5 & A Dime would be a perfect name. What was once a little distribution company out of Hawaii has now turned into one of San Diego's finest select retail establishments.
