Shopping atmosphere, staff knowledge & product selection is what I look for in any business I go to. B&L has all three. All the staff I have run across have been working with bicycles for a lengthy amount of time. Most of them have raced or current race all aspects of the sport (Tri, MTB, Road, etc).
Lost of Specialized in both locations but, they have more options in the Solana Beach local (Serotta, Seven, Look, Electra, etc).
I was training for a triathlon recently and the staff at B&L were incredibly helpful, helping me get my bike fitted for the race, giving me race tips, advice on which gear to buy. Extraordinarily helpful and friendly. They made me feel very equiped to do my first tri.
