Built in 1924, the historic Balboa Theatre was an elegant vaudeville and movie palace in the heart of downtown San Diego. The City of San Diego's Redevelopment Agency invested over $26 million into the Balboa Theatre's renovation and restoration nad the project embraced and restored the historic finishes and appearance of the Balboa Theatre while incorporating current audience and production expectations to ensure its use for generations to come.

It is a gorgeous mid-sized venue (desperately needed in San Diego) with amazing acoustics! Also, the management company works with local groups to be able to accomodate a variety of local performers in a number of different types of events...all around beautiful!
