Michelle’s two key rings (giant locking carabiners) look like a janitors, weighing in at 3lbs each. Each key has a fob on it with a name like “Snoopy,” evidence that since 2004, when she founded Coastal Pet Sitters, her world has gone to the dogs…and cats, horses, reptiles, birds, fish, and the “small & furry” (bunnies, Guinea pigs).
She knows first-hand how busy working professionals can be, so she tailored her business to accommodate those kinds of lifestyles. She also knows that for many owners, their pets ARE their children, so only the best will do.
That’s why she is meticulous with her paperwork, and is equally as meticulous with her choice of contracted pet sitters, who pass FBI background checks and job-shadow Michelle even though they have extensive qualifications and experience.
Ditto Doggy Day Care and boarding: the 1,750 sq. ft. area looks like a tidy childcare center with a glorious view of rainforest-like gardens (and koi pond), which are so breathtaking, the City of Leucadia would like to feature it in its 2010 Leucadia Garden Walk.
For overnight stays in your home, Michelle’s sitters adhere to the strictest of rules, including not imbibing any of the client’s food or drink. They also leave your home cleaner than it was when they arrived, performing light housekeeping, taking out the trash, watering plants, and bringing in mail, etc.
Michelle and her team are extremely communicative with clients who prefer daily text messages, or notes on the counter, especially when medications need to be administered.
As a result of her careful screening, extensive domestic pet sitting/exercising/boarding/training services and product offerings, loving care for pets, and Pet Sitters International membership, Michelle and her team’s high-end “Who’s Who List” clients have become extended family, which includes a psychologist, a psychiatrist, surgeons, attorneys, medium- to large-business owners, and senior executives, including a head honcho with Muttropolis (www.muttropolis.com).
No wonder Coastal Pet Sitters is on your “A” list!
