After returning from Spain, I went to every Tapas place I could find. Most were okay, but this place was great. Some of the food seemed more authentic than the stuff I had while in Spain.
The best Spanish restaurant in USA. Not only the food but also the ambiance brings you back to Spain. I first discover the place in a business trip to San Diego. Since then I recommend it to anyone going to that town. Job well done Javier !!!
Javier is awesome and extremely passionate about his food. We have been regulars for years and they just catered our wedding on a catamaran. Eveybody on the boat commented how great all of the tapas were plus they made paella on board that was absolutely delicious. If you haven't been here, you need to go.

I lived in Spain twice, one time for about a year, and the food at Costa Brava is pretty much exactly as I had it when I lived there. Spanish cuisine is very hard to re-create outside of the country because so many products are locally produced and consumed in each province, but Javi does it well by importing what is necessary to stay authentic. His paella is outstanding when he caters.
