i was looking for a bike for my 1yr old because he loves bikes and we had gone in and Nate one of the owners brought out a schwinn tricycle and my son just went crazy and let him ride it all over the store, but since he couldn't reach the pedals Nate had also made my son peddle blocks so as he grows he'll be able to reach the pedals. My son now 19m still loves his bike and we had his pictures done on his bike and brought one to the boys at the shop and they loved i even went back and got my husband a beach cruiser that they gave me a great deal on. They are very friendly and helpful.
This is the best bike shop I've ever been to. The staff were so helpful and friendly!!!! They really knew what they were talking about and really helped me. It also had a great selection and the best parts. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Really a great shop. Everyone I've encountered in the shop has been really cool... Sam is an absolutely terrific mechanic and one of the nicest guys I've ever met in a retail setting. He really knows his stuff and works hard to do things the right way. Best of all, he was more than willing to actually explain what it was that he did, why he did it... and even suggested a few new trails to me on my way out. It such a refreshing change to walk into your LBS and have that "family-owned" business type of environment instead of the ultra-corporate "performance" type LBS. I like to do a lot of my own work but you can bet that anytime one of my bikes needs something beyond my skills, I'll be bringing it back to Sam. The only downside is the selection, its a bit of a small store so there are some high-end mountain and road parts that they just dont carry... They're more of a family oriented/bmx shop but, whatever they dont have they'll happily order. I get most of my parts online anyway so its even less of a big deal to me.
I cant say enough about this shop,have been doing business with them since my son was very young. Good long time standing company with very friendly and helpful staff. Been in Escondido for years reliable service,parts all around wonderful experience!!
