I've been here a few times. On those few occasions I would rate this place with 3 stars.
This most recent occasion smashes the stars to dust.
I found a 3/4 of an inch size BUG IN MY PHO. It was fat and looked something like a GRUB worm. Seriously. No pun intended.
My friends' remarks for a futile attempt to coax the gag factor away:
Bugs are a delicacy in other countries.
Very nutritious.
Gives you protein.
Adds flavor to the soup.
It's kinda cute.
It's not gonna hurt you.
You know what, BITCHES? You eat the soup. I'm out of here. Next time 'WE ALL GO TO LUCKY SEAFOOD'

I eat pho at Hoacali. Anyother foods like 7course beef, I go to Anh Hong which is much better than Phuong Trang. their roasted fish at Anh Hong are VERY GOOOD.

You want a real rice dish or vermicelli bowl, you must stop by here, do not go to those amateurs who HAVE EVERYTHING on the menu. Think about it!!! It's impossible to cook every kind of foods or soups in a tiny little kitchen, unless using a lot of msg or artificial favors. Personally, I like place that more focus like Hoacali here. They use real bones marrows, real meat to get the flavor. I love Vietnamese foods, and I would like my fellow eaters to really make sound judgment before choosing place to eat. Trust me, you don't want to go to "PT" to eat, look around, 90% of its customers is Non-Asian (no offense, it just like me can't tell the different between Steak at Outback steakhouse or a Mom&Pop place:::))).

the service is just ok but i must say their Pho is week I mean their noodles are fresh which is a good thing but their prety shady on the meat and stuff. I rather go to Bolsa across the street.

i dont noe how people can like pho ca dao. ew. im in my mid-thirites. and my patience grow pretty old. even when this store is busy, it takes around 5 minutes to lead me into a table.

when i entered this place, it was amazing how the store was so clean. and it was very well decorated. i can tell the owner thought about us customers. thought sometimes it can get really busy, but they bring us in, like 5 minutes. its only a wait for 5 minutes.

pho hoacali express is reallllyy goood. i lvoe their rice dishes. and their egg rolls =] they are so freakin sickk. its so crunchy and their egg rolls are to die for. and their services is awesome.
