Look over the local newspaper while waiting. The kids can enjoy coloring or playing with "Mr. Potato Head" as we prepare your food. You can experience our unique Southern California weather in the sidewalk seating section, where even your dog is welcome. Friends of The Shack (others call them customers), tell us that we offer a "meal and a half," always some to take along if you wish. Bread, eggs, salsa, mushrooms and more, the freshest that are available. Try our "manhole cover" sized pancakes. Our American and hand cut fries are "all you can eat." Yes, they are the ones your friends told you about! Seating for over 140 people. Two indoor dining areas and sidewalk seating, to experience the "Old town Encinitas" feeling. On weekends we open a second kitchen to serve your needs. The coffee is fresh brewed and waiting for you upon your arrival.
