Poway Sushi Lounge was an idea conceived by two friends working together for another restaurant, Sushi on the Rock in La Jolla and Carlsbad. Katie Rooney was the Catering Director, starting the department after opening the Carlsbad location and being the Manager of Operations for both locations.
Frank Interlandi assisted in the Carlsbad opening and was promoted to Head Chef at that location after working in La Jolla for 5 years.
The two friends decided to venture off on their own and brought their fresh, creative cuisine to Poway. After purchasing Sushi Poway, the two partners began three months of remodeling and changes and emerged with a new menu, fresh new décor, and a whole new feel. Poway Sushi Lounge celebrated its 3 year anniversary recently and is known for the quality of not only its fish and ingredients, but service and overall experience for the guest.

The sushi at Poway Sushi Lounge is my all-time favorite! Their rolls are SO good and the staff is friendly. They are always willing to tailor the sushi as you request. I've tried a lot of places, but this place is the BEST!

They have the best rolls anywhere. I've had sushi in about 40 different places, including Hawaii, and their rolls are the best bar none.

The atmosphere, food, and service is phenomenal every single visit. I make sure to visit multiple times a month to help ensure they are getting business as well as to have a great meal in a comfortable environment.

Customer service is very good. The sushi is fabulous. Lots of variety and creativity. Special sauces are amazing. If you let the chefs know your favorites, they will create for you.

Poway Sushi Lounge has excellent, friendly service. Their sushi is incredible. The Tsunami Roll is my favorite by far with a blend of flavors that melt in your mouth and leave a smile on your face. You absolutely have to experience this for yourself!

Their sushi is always fresh and tasty! Not to forget the delicious bento boxes. My husband and I come here for date night often, and are never disapointed. They also have a fabulous Happy Hour! My favorite sushi is their crunchy roll.

I love this place! The fish is fresh, staff is wondedrful and they have the best happy hour sushi specials around. I drive from Golden Hill to Poway just to eat here.
