Preferred by Pets first opened for business in 1991. In 1994 the current owners purchased the shop and it has been family owned ever since. We have 4 active, skilled groomers who have all been properly trained in proper pet handling, behavior, safety, first aid, CPR, skin care and of course-hair styling!
Our shop policy is to keep the grooming process as relaxed and stress free as possible. This helps keep the pets (and groomers!) calm and happy. Jessica, Birgit, Lora, and Laura are pleased to offer you a combined total of just over 50 years of experience. We are knowledgeable in breed standards as outlined by the AKC, and attend continuing education seminars often to keep up with the latest trends and technology. We also have several years of experience grooming cats and offer "Cats Only" Sundays to provide the most stress-free environment for your kitty.
All of our products, including our flea shampoos and dips, are all natural and free of harsh chemicals and pesticides. We have a large variety of shampoos and conditioners that we choose based on your pet's individual needs. We also offer special treatments for dogs with skin problems, offensive odors, and profuse shedding. Any questions, feel free to call and ask!
