Summers Past Farms is a small family business nestled in the foothills just 30 minutes east of downtown San Diego on historic Old Highway 80. Because the climate is one of the mildest in the United States, Sheryl & Marshall Lozier are busy planting, harvesting and crafting all year long. Our retail shop is housed in a 3,500 square foot post-and-timber barn we built ourselves. The barn is always a fun place to shop and see what’s new for the season! Come see all the new fairy items, gardening and cookbooks, country furniture, garden statues, and home décor items. In our plant and herb nursery, you’ll delight in a selection of culinary herbs, ornamental landscape plants, water-wise plants, native plants, and well as many beautiful flowers for every season. You can see the plants in our decorative or herb gardens. We also invite you to visit our herbal soap shop where we have been making the finest all natural vegetable based soaps, hand salves and lavender sprays since 1992. Start making your own today! Soap Making kits and supplies are available along with a full line of essential and fragrance oils. Fine skin care products from around the world fill the tables in the spa-like getaway including dead sea products and French-milled soaps. Enjoy your visit even more while sipping on your favorite coffee drink, smoothie or mango iced tea (our specialty). Stroll through the garden or enjoy a bench under our shady pavilion. Come and see out beautiful flower gardens or join us at one of our many workshops or gardening classes. Our workshops are offered on the weekends, seasonally in our loft. Learn more about creating herbal vinegar, wreaths, herbal soap, hand salves, lip balms and gardening. Many events are held annually including Sweet Pea Day Celebration, An Antique and Craft Fair (twice a year), Mother’s Day Dessert in the garden, wine tasting, A Fairy Festival, Lavender Day Celebration, Pumpkin Patch, and a Holiday Open House.

I took my mother-n- law there during Easter break. It was beautiful and there were children there that day doing an Easter Egg Hunt which gave the place this quite energy special for spring time. We love the gift shop and the animals.

A little slice of heaven, a place to go to shop, take a class, relax, paint and draw,
learn about gardening, take family and friends visiting the county, or just hang out
and regroup. A place I want to be able to visit more frequently when we retire.

Walking through the serene gardens brings me joy, and clears the mind. The various scents from the colorful flowers overwhelms the senses.
Just go - enjoy - have a hot or cold coffee drink while sitting in the garding, embracing the surroundings and forget the pressures of these times! Jan L.

The moment you arrive at Summers Past, you can feel the stresses of the world start to melt away. I love the peaceful serene setting. My favorite pastime is shopping in the country store while beautiful relaxing music is playing in the background. It is just heavenly. I live in Los Angeles, but each time I go to San Diego, a visit to the farm is a must.

I love to go to Summers Past Farms not only for the gifts but for the most relaxing, serene place to be, whether it is in the summer at the Fairy Festival sipping on an ice tea or having a hot spiced chai in the winter. I think Oprah should come and visit!

An East County Treasure! A place where you can experience the calm and serenity of a wonderful garden, combined with some relaxing shopping opportunities. You can purchase handmade soaps (made there!), and a multitude of other gifts, home decor or nursery plants. Holiday events and crafting classes are available, OR you can just go for the stress relief -- sitting among the trees and flowers enjoying something from their coffee and juice bar. Hats off to the owners--you can feel the love and devotion they have given to Summers Past and all who visit.

I discovered Summers Past with my grandson a few years back and have continued to marvel at the peace I find there each time I visit. We heard Mary James for the first time at Summers Past and I wanted her to sing at my wedding at the Farm. Unfortunately, the date was already booked so Mary joined us at another location. Now I take my granddaughter there and love every minute of the flowers, the gift shop, the animals and the playhouse. This place is a treasure!

SUMMER FARMS IS THE MOST QUANT, PEACEFUL, AND SIMPLY AMAZING PLACE TO ESCAPE TO HERE IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY. THE GARDENS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AS SO ARE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING IT ALL HAPPEN! THEY HAVE WONDERFUL CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS THAT THEY OFFER AS WELL AS AN AMAZING GIFT SHOP WHICH YOU WILL NOT LEAVE WITHOUT A BAG FULL OF HOMEMADE GOODIES, ETC. THAT YOU WILL NOT FIND ELSEWHERE, AND THE PRICES ARE EXCEPTIONALLY REASONABLE. THEY ALSO PROVIDE A WONDERFUL LITTLE COFFEE/TEA BAR THAT YOU CAN INDULGE IN YOUR FAVORITE CUP OF JAVA OR HERBAL TEA AND ENJOY THE MOST FRAGRANT SMELLS OF THE GARDENS AND THE VIEW OF EL CAPITAN MTN. THIS IS MY FAVORITE AS WELL AS MANY MANY OTHERS TO VISIT AND THOROUGHLY ENJOY ALL IT HAS TO OFFER AND SO SO MUCH MORE! ONCE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED SUMMER PAST FARMS , YOU WILL LANDMARK THIS AS ONE OF YOUR MOST FAVORITE PLACES TO ESCAPE TO AS A RESIDENT OF SAN DIEGO OR JUST VISITING HERE, IT IS A PLACE LIKE NONE OTHER, PEOPLE OF ALL AGES LOVE IT HERE. SO ENJOY!!

The best place to go and paint! As an artist I have always found wonderful scenes and objects for my watercolors. Summers Past Farms is my favorite retreat away from home and I am blessed to have my paintings and cards for
sale at their gift shop. I love to browse and shop in the barn and soap shoppe, and love the events that are at the farm.

More than a "gift shop," SPF is a serene respite in a country garden setting with fabulous and creative family events like Fairy Day. You can find interesting gifts for friends or take classes to make projects like soap or dried flower wreaths. Enjoy their refreshing herbal iced tea or buy native plants for your garden.

The Doziers getaway has been one of my favorite places to take out-of-town guests. Most linger in the candle shop and indulge their senses in the custom hand-made soaps. Others are in awe of antique barn and its plethora of dried floral arrangements. Everyone loves the coffee shop. The lucky few get to attend one of Cheryl's classes. I learned how to make door wreaths and made one for my Mom for Mother's Day. Summers Past is peaceful and restful and just a great place to hang. Did I mention Halloween happenings for kids? The pet rooster? Thanks, Doziers.
