Although wine is their main attraction, they also have a full bar as well as great appetizers. They are very knowledgeable about their wines, and they introduce new wines every so often to keep things interesting. I have been visiting The Grape for over five years, and it has been consistently great! (Too bad chi_mike cannot spell and does not know a great wine bar when he visits one.)
Terrific ambience, great wine list, knowledgeable staff, and you gotta try their French Bread appetizer! Warm and friendly, an elegant place to meet with business asociates and good friends, a guaranteed-superb experience.

Wonderful place to sit back and relax. Excellent service, great wine list, by the bottle, glass or flight, and lovely martinis. Apps are tasty as well!
The grape is a great little wine bar with big tastes. It has a wide selection, and an assorted menu of apps. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, as well as attentive. The wine flights are plentiful, and the atmoshpere is astounding. It is a great place for the wine lover, as well as the wine beginer! Keep up the good work ladies, and best of luck!
My favorite place in the Gaslamp. Excellent selection of wines and appetizers, and the friendly yet professional staff makes me feel more like family than a customer whenever I visit. They are highly knowledgeable about their wines, and extremely accommodating. If you don't see the exact thing you want, let them know, and they will most likely make substitutions.
