California Thai is a lot tastier that Saffron. Not to mention that the Saffron atmosphere is less than pleasant. However, Saffron is excellent, but if you find yourself north of the 52, check out California Thai on Black Mountain Rd.

Excellent food, friendly service, probably the best Thai food in San Diego. By far the best restaurant in Mira Mesa. The Pad Thai is the best that I have had, and the curry sauce is phenomenal.
