For those in the know, there is no other bike shop in San Diego that offers this level of competent bike repair and maintenance with unbeatable prices and customer service. While they are not as flashy as other bikes shops with hundreds of bikes on the showroom floor, this is the place serious cyclists bring their bikes for repairs and component upgrades. North of the Border also serves the beginner or recreational cyclist. I know because that's what I was when I first stepped foot in the door. Nearly 10 years later I have become a seasoned competitive racer and owe much of my success to Mike and North of the Border. It is because of North of the Border that I have never had a mechanical failure in nearly 100 races.

Let's not try to reinvent the wheel on this one. No other steakhouse is as consistently good as Ruth's. From the food to the service this place is the best. The downtown location has much better ambiance.

This one was close. There are other places in San Diego that have good gelato but they are not in Little Italy. Location has as much to do with this as anything. When eating gelato it always helps to be served by Italians in Little Italy. Great place with a great atmosphere. We are there every Sunday just before we play Bocci.

The Cheese Shop at La Jolla Shores offers the biggest and best sandwiches in the best location. The Turkey with Avocado on Sourdough should be illegal.

Best pizza and attitude in town. I love watching newbies order incorrectly and get yelled at. Be sure to ask for Canadian Bacon and Pineapple!
