When In Rome Restaurant recently opened the roof and the Bar Patio is looking better than ever. With palm trees and a moonlit skyline it’s the perfect place for North County’s hottest shopping soiree. In anticipation of the 2009 summer season, the coveted Del Mar Races, and San Diego’s incredible coastal experience, When In Rome Restaurant developed a “Passion 4 Fashion and Shopping Soiree”.
This shopping venue is not just about food and entertainment. Local business owners are creating “mini shops” inside the restaurant with products and services for purchase in a carnivalesque environment stocked with sexy appetizers and cocktails, live painting demonstrations, tarot card readings, music and a surprise late afternoon entertainer. This is turning out to be something really incredible! Mark your calendar for this event Sunday, July 19th from 11am – 4pm. Detour Salon, Skova Design, Palooka, Nikki Rox, Spa 4 One to name a few local vendors who will be onsite. Local business owner Nicole Danz said, “I’m so curious about this odd mix of shopping and entertainment where I can have my hair done, a facial, spray tan and teeth whitening, buy a great pair of jeans and jewelry all in the same place”. This event is open to the public at 1108 South Coast Highway, Encinitas on the corner of “J” Street across from Hansens.
We’ve just launched our summer menu focusing on our garden fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and berries – new items focus on fresh – healthy seafood.
New Happy Hour Menu and Drink Specials
For the best Happy Hour specials in town: 5:30PM - 7:00PM Tuesday - Friday every week in our enclosed Courtyard Bar + Patio, also known as the Garden Room. The Happy Hour Menu will offer small plates at a very reasonable price and specialty cocktail drinks, and wine by the glass priced at 2 for 1.
Tuesday night is Date Night at When In Rome - $50.00 menu includes, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 desert and 2 glasses of wine.
Wednesday night is half off wine night – no corkage if you bring in your own bottle of wine.
Thursday night is drink and appetizer specials all night.
